Role: Java Developer  (Ref code:031414-JANQUI-EX-IO32.5-JOH)
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Type: Long-term Contract
Duration: 1-2 years

Job Description:

This is a great opportunity to work for a large reputable company with the latest available technologies. In this role, the Java Developer will be responsible for functioning as a generalist who is willing to assist on multiple projects simultaneously.

Required Skills:
Java/J2EE development background
SQL Development and Administration (Oracle PL-SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, UNIX, Shell Script, stored procedures, triggers, etc.)
Practical experience and knowledge of the following technologies and tools: Java, Java EE, EJB3, JDBC, JSP
Testing experience, creation of test data, management of test files
Data conversion, migrating and reconfiguring files from one format to another
Report generation and creating output files
Working with SQL queries
Experience with development tools (IBM RAD)
Experience with Test management software (HP Quality Center or other)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field

Preferred Skills:
Desirable to have experience with Greenplum, WebFocus, Pega Business Process Manager (BPM), Informatica

Qualifications:
The J2EE developer is responsible for developing, testing, implementing, debugging, and supporting computer software that resides and is executed in a J2EE environment. Typically possesses several years of experience in the function and is knowledgeable in all aspects of the work.
Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of particular field of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments.
J2EE developer plans, conducts and supervises assignments, generally involving larger and more complex projects or more than one project.
He/she coordinates day-to-day operations of a group of employees (typically four or more individuals); leads, assigns, and monitors work progress. Reviews progress and evaluates results.
Schedules and may supervise project work.
He/she may act in liaison capacity with other departments, divisions, and organizations. Evaluates progress and results and recommends major changes in procedures. Provides input to the review and evaluation of personnel performance.
This position includes both development and support responsibilities so the ability to handle multiple tasks with a high degree of flexibility and adaptability is critical.
