Job Title: Sr. Openstack Developer (041514-MELPED-IOM-E-RAJ)

Location: Middletown, NJ

Duration: 6 Months

Emp.Type: 1099/ W2


Responsibilities include:

. Working in an Agile environment, part of a Scrum team, designing and developing Java/Openstack APIs code to development and related functionality

. Design and develop programming systems making specific determinations about system performance.

. Interacting with related Scrum Teams (Network, Storage, Monitoring, etc. )

. Delivering projects on time while maintaining the quality of the code and solutions produced.

. Review System test scenarios with testing team

. High Visibility

. Ability to influence the core Open Stack capabilities

. Enhance existing platforms and services continually to provide better performance and feature sets.


Required Technical:

Solid Python programming experience (2+ years dedicated in Python)

Java, Restful API development (2+ years)

Object oriented experience

Exposure to Openstack development (Nova and/or Neutron and/or Glance/Horizon and/or Ceilometer)

DevStack experience (Scripts for Openstack)

Knowledge of virtualization platforms (KVM/XEN/LXC/VMWare) and understanding of the pros and cons of different types of virtualization
