Job Description:

The objectives of this assignment are to:

 

a) Create updated web presence that will represent all services and projects from the PC Provisioning program;

b) Design, develop and implement a new web presence for the upcoming ED7 Project for the deployment of new computer hardware;

c) Design the graphic templates for all printed materials related to the ED7project.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Create and/or acquire content for websites. Online content can take many forms including plain text, links, database content, still images (illustrations, photographs, diagrams), animation, audio, video, interactive devices (forms, forums, chat rooms, polls, questionnaires, etc.)

Contribute to the top-level and detailed design of the website with a particular focus on the ways in which the goals for the site and the needs of users can be met through the provision of appropriate content.

Assist with the implementation of the Project Communication Plan via web.

Work closely with other projects team members to upload content on various sections of the website.

Update the website design and structure as needed.

Set up monitors for the web site visits using Omniture tool.

Excellent oral and written communications capabilities;

Proven writing and editing skills, with a strong command of English and an ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, direct, and lively style.

Strong organizational skills.

Familiarity with ePublish content editor.

High degree of self motivation, strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work as part of a team.

Ability to initiate and manage a continuing editorial process and to conceptualize and execute the online packaging of content.

Ability to take rough concepts and ideas and create clear and visually appealing designs

Excellent attention to detail, keen eye for clean UI implementation and knowledge of design best practices.

 

Minimum Education/Experience at recruitment/selection:

 

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Media, Fine Arts or a related field

Minimum two years of experience designing websites and working with web content management tools and graphic/web design tools such as Adobe Acrobat Creative Suite

Relevant experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Full knowledge and applied work experience of social media principles and web 2.0 technologies.

Experience in web analytics, search engine optimization, and online marketing.
