Job Description:

The Senior Web UX/UI Designer would be responsible for the following:

Strong background in user interface design and development with proven ability to create functional and usable interfaces, as well as good diagramming skills and information design experience developing deliverables and documentation to communicate user experience design elements, flows, interaction and functionalities.

Are you interested? The ideal Senior Web UX/UI Designer will possess the following:

Proven experience with different IA deliverables (annotated wireframes, flow diagrams, sitemaps, design

patterns, etc), and the ability to adapt them to different uses, projects and constraints.

 

Expert HTML/CSS knowledge, including advanced knowledge of CSS framework development.

Expert knowledge of mobile-first, responsive design practices as well as more conventional grid-based

designs.

Proven track record owning or playing a majority role in the user experience/interaction design of a

project or product.

The ability to work cooperatively and constructively with many stakeholders, both inside and outside

of the organization. The ability to foster collaborative partnerships with colleagues both senior and junior, and the strength to receive feedback gracefully and positively.

Ability to synthesize and communicate the implications of user research findings and business requirements to the user experience design process, as well as conceptualize the structure and

functionality of the user experience with user needs and business goals in mind.

Analytical problem-solving skills, excellent writing and presentation skills with experience in outlining functional specifications and content requirements concurrently with interface design.

A portfolio of projects including project deliverables and finished products, as well as past experience or academic achievement in the areas of user research and/or design methods focusing on user experience design.

Desirable experience with social applications, multi-platform projects, and consumer audiences.

Experience using software tools on Mac platforms including OmniGraffle, Visio, Illustrator,Photoshop, Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint to create IA deliverables, or the ability to quickly learn how to use new tools and methods.

Bachelor's Degree in Information Sciences, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Psychology, Human Factors, Business or related discipline from accredited university required. Graduate study a plus.
