Location: downtown Baltimore, MD
ORACLE DEVELOPER:
Our client located in Baltimore, MD is seeking an Oracle Developer on a contract-to-hire or full-time basis.
Job Description
Applicants should have a strong background in Oracle development in support of enterprise applications and willing to learn new technologies. The position works with various software developers, product managers, project managers and subject matter experts to create industry leading software functionality.
Responsibilities
· Designs, codes, test, implements, and maintains business applications and functionality.
· Performs complex design activities that requires extensive research and analysis.
· Participates in Major implementation projects and support operational teams .
· Researches and implements new technologies.
· Mentors and coaches junior development staff in coding and design.
· Works with delivery team clients, Managers and team members in identifying integration approaches and addressing data concerns as required.
· Need to be able to document design, development, unit testing and maintenance of internally developed applications
Experience
· 3-5 years of experience in Form9i development, database architecture and best practices for Oracle SQL and PL/SQL coding style and application tuning.
· 8+ years professional IT experience preferred.
· Oracle 10G experience is required.
· Strong development experience with Oracle PL/SQL: construction of packages, triggers and PL/SQL blocks and Unix shell scripting.
· Experience in XML parsing and loading into Oracle, XSD style sheets, Oracle XML packages is desired.
Education
· Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or another related field.
· Additional years of experience required for lack of a BS or MS degree.
