Business Intelligence Business Analyst III

Required Skills: 
 
 Ideal candidate shall have a minimum of 9 years workplace experience,  with 5+ in Business Analysis, Process Modeling and 4+ years in providing  Business Intelligence Solutions.  
 
 The incumbent shall have strong working knowledge of industry standard  Data warehousing solutions, SDLC processes and should be able to provide  examples/demonstrate application of these principles. The candidate  should have excellent documentation skills and be able to apply the UML  principles and provide best practices to maintain the business rules  around data. On the job responsibilities include performing analysis of  transactional systems, reading and understanding the design documents  and data model analysis for identifying data constraints and entity  relationships. Should have excellent SQL, PL/SQL skills are mandatory  and data sets will be created to perform data analysis. The candidate  should be able to perform duties with minimum supervision and provide  direction to the developers. 
 
 - Strong understanding of industry standard Application Development  processes, Data warehousing concepts, Business Analysis techniques and  Process Modeling methodologies. 
 - Must be knowledgeable about the Business Modeling discipline; be able  to create UML & RUP artifacts related to Business Process Analysis,  Process Requirements, and Business Rules. 
 - Drive the problem resolution process for application questions and  issues through data collection, root-cause analysis, and evaluation of  resolutions and/or development of work-a-rounds. 
 - Work with multiple business users and implementation teams during  Assessment and Implementation phases and resolve solution defects that  are identified and help find issues. 
 - Should have very strong SQL skills. Write/use SQL queries to validate data while performing research/analysis  
 - Be able to produce High level design document (HLDD) and Low level design  
 - Document (LLDD) showing the architecture diagram with references to detailed feature specifications. 
 - Possesses working knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems  (RDBMS) and data warehouse, including dimensional modeling and  operational data stores. 
 - Should have demonstrated experience in the areas of Application development, business analysis and solution architectures. 
 - Working knowledge of ETL Principles, Data Modeling tools like ERWIN and BI tools viz Cognos. 
 - Able to work with Business Intelligence tools like Cognos to analyze, create and modify  the reports/reporting logics. 
 
 Desired Skills: 
 
 Skills around producing Business Architecture & Solution Architecture solutions will be an added advantage. 
 Knoweldge of Informatica is will be a plus. 
 
 The candidate will work with developments teams across ETL, Operational  Data Store & Reporting streams and provide solutions to the business  departments and shall perform the following duties during the course of  the Project: 
 
 - Interact with multiple cross-functional teams, trace the requirements  to the source systems, identify and document the dependencies and  perform analysis. 
 - Design and develop database objects as required.  
 - Use UML methodology to document use cases, trace and manage requirements. 
 - Create RACI Matrices for the requirements gatherings and use the latest requirement gathering techniques. 
 - Perform validation & verification of the artifacts produced by the  development teams using various methods - tracing to the requirements,  perform SQL querying against the databases etc.. 
 - Provide working prototypes for demoing proof of concepts to business users. 
 - Work with data models and understand the constraints around the data elements. 
 - Be able to perform the impact analysis to the system upon changes in  source and provide a structured approach for such analysis. 
 - The candidate should have excellent SQL,PL/SQL skills and be able to analyze the PL/SQL procedures &  ETL Logic.
