JOB SUMMARY: The Senior level .NET GIS Software Engineer will be part of a critical team developing and supporting high-quality
geospatial solutions supporting a federal civilian agencys enterprise GIS program with thousands of users. This position will serve as
software team and lead. This is a software development position and as such 75% of the effort is anticipated to be direct hands-on .net
coding using arcGIS Server and ArcObjects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for performing requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, verification and validation, and maintenance of enterprise
GIS web services and web-based and desktop solutions in a .net environment.. Analyzes and documents software requirements,
clarifications, use cases, design specifications, creates and implements software code, test plans. Knowledgeable of software lifecycle
development processes, standards and best practices to ensure high quality software applications are designed thoroughly tested and
delivered. Customer may require agile and waterfall approaches.
This role provides technical leadership within a wider virtual team and manages locally one or more subcontracts and/or team
employees. The candidate must have the ability to adapt to new situations and environments. Possesses keen troubleshooting skills to
assist other Sr. Systems Analysts and Program Managers to analyze enterprise information and geospatial architectures, process
workflow management, ESRI technology, Oracle Spatial, and Web services. Performs systems and software engineering planning,
information security planning, performance management, capacity planning, testing and validation, risk assessment, benchmarking,
information engineering. Other requirements and responsibilities are given below:
" Responsible for performing requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, verification and validation, and maintenance of enterprise
web services and web-based solutions in a .net environment.
" Provide integration with enterprise legacy systems through XML gateways and other services.
" Analyzes and documents software requirements, clarifications, use cases, design specifications, creates and implements software
code, test plans.
" Ability to utilize software lifecycle development processes, standards and best practices to ensure high quality software applications
are designed thoroughly tested and delivered utilizing agile and waterfall approaches.
" Provide technical leadership within a wider virtual team and manage locally one or more tasks and/or mentor more junior peers.
Required Skills:
* Extensive knowledge and expertise with Silverlight or HTML5, WPF, XML and Win Forms
* Minimum 6+ years of progressive C# .Net development experience
* 5+ years experience with Geographical Information Systems (GIS) integration and development in .net environment using ESRIs
ArcGIS Server and ArcObjects is required
* 2+ years WCF/Web Services/SOAP.

* Experience designing desktop and web applications for large scale multi-user deployments including software architecting, design
and performance considerations.

DESIRED SKILLS:

* Knowledge of database engineering and administration with SQL Server is a plus
* Experience with automated software testing tools for regression testing is a plus
* Understanding of federal standards governing web application design and development.
