Senior Business Analyst - Thousand Oaks, CA

Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs. Possesses expertise in the business unit(s) they support, as well as, an understanding of the IT organizations systems and capabilities. Analyzes business partner's operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions. Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology. Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications. Educates the IT organization on the direction of the business. Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to final implementation. Possesses an understanding of technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprises competitive edge. May make recommendations for buy versus build decision.

Requirements:

Specifically we require demonstrated skill and ability to define Service Delivery or Fulfillment processes, including the intake, analysis, governance, and fulfillment of server, storage, network, rackspace, or cloud service delivery. Experience with a large enterprise IS delivery organization either in-house or through a managed service provider would be ideal. Experience with information security risk assessment processes would be ideal.

Candidate should be conversant in workflow diagrams, UML is a plus. MS Visio or Sparx EA are preferred tools. Candidate should also be competent with MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Verbal and written communication skills are critical.

This candidate will join a small project team to lead the delivery of process deliverables of the project. The project's scope is to modify some existing processes to include new requirements, and transition those processes into production use. Deliverables will include process diagrams, narratives, templates, design patterns, standards, specifications, as well as training and communication materials. Candidate will also be a key influencer on current process owners and stakeholders to drive to win-win solutions
