Job Description:

Minimum 6 years Oracle DBA experience in a large scale Production environment with the

following responsibilities:

Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot and tune databases on UNIX OS (HPUX/LINUX

Preferred)

Expertise Oracle 11g Database Backup & Recovery (RMAN)

Monitor production and development databases and coordinate outages to perform maintenance

in order to prevent unplanned downtime.

* Minimum of 2 years of Oracle RAC experience on 11g (preferably R2

* Minimum of 2 years of Oracle ASM experience on 11g (preferably R2

* Design system maintenance activities such as archiving, storage utilization, and backups.

* Minimum of 2 years of Experience with OEM (GRID Control)

* Experience with Data Guard or Advance Data Guard

* Demonstrated knowledge of database internals and structures

* Minimum of 3 years of Experience with database performance troubleshooting and tuning.

* Pro-active and reactive performance analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting and resolution

of issues.

* Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (Preferably 2008) minimum of 1 year

* Minimum of 6 years of Unix Shell scripting and SQL

* Experience in Data Pump, Advance Compression, Partitioning, ETL and Data Warehousing is a

plus.

* Interface with other central organizations to improve and implement process, procedures

and automation

* Work as part of a team to provide 24x7 support and participate in on-call rotation

* Interface with Oracle technical support

* Establish standards and best practices for SQL

* Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation

* Excellent analytical and technical skills

* Excellent written and verbal communications skills

* Excellent planning and organizational skills
