JOb Description:
IT Support Specialist III to support day to day operational and project support for Web and Application team.

 

Key Job Functions:
• 5-7 years hands on experience with Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of WebLogic 9.x/10.x servers.
• 2-3 hands on experience with Installation, configuration of JBOSS and TcServer (tomcat) servers. JBOSS EAP 6.x is a plus
• 3-5 years hand on experience on Installation & configuration of Apache webservers
• Experience in JDBC/JMS configuration and code deployment on WebLogic, JBOSS & TcServer(tomcat) servers
• 5-7 years hand on experience in troubleshooting and isolating performance and complex issues that are experienced within Middleware environments
• Perform Log analysis and provide root cause resolution
• Monitor environment/applications and respond to automated alerts
• Document standard operation of systems in environment
• Provide technical support to business partners and system users following SLA guidance
• Liaison for team providing technical guidance
• Perform analysis in preparation of patch and migrations
• Execute migration and shakeout procedures; typically on weekends
• Provide 24X7 support on rotation basis
• Analyze, resolve, and co-ordinate technical problems with various platform teams
• Experience in Remedy or any Change Control tool is plus
• Maintain Remedy incident tickets and service request cases in a timely and efficient manner

 

Preferred Skills: 
• Web server and Middleware (WebLogic 9.x/10.x, JBOSS 6,TcServer/tomcat., Apache 2.x)
• Strong Unix Skills and knowledge of Unix Shell scripting
• Experience working on Solaris 8/10 & SLES 10/11 OS.
• Experience working in Operations / Production Support environment
• Strong Problem Solving skills
• High level of interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) and negotiation skills

Education and Experience
• Preferred: BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
