Job Description:
The Healthcare client is seeking Senior COBOL Developer support for ICD-10_FailedSafe project
The client needs 1 (one) Senior COBOL Developer contractor. This individual will be primarily working on developing integrating reports generated from jasper into the client application. The responsibilities include execution of full life cycle activities in support of multiple projects which will include but not limited to:
Work directly with requirement analyst, architect, technical lead and other team members on design and development tasks.


Accountable for meeting milestones set for different projects.
Conduct code review, unit and integration testing.
Document system design and unit testing information and transfer maintenance work to client production support team.
Projected Level of Effort:

 

Required Skills:
COBOL Programmer Analyst:
Demonstrated experience within the healthcare insurance industry. Knowledge of claims/Enrollment systems a plus, specifically Healthcare claims.
At least 8 years of mainframe-based application development experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of COBOL applications running under CICS.
Demonstrated knowledge and best practices of testing environments and processes.
Strong testing skills
Excellent problem solving skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
