Job Summary and Dimensions

The FUSE ESB Developer/Analyst primary responsibility is responsibility for supporting the success of project implementations, including transition to customer support. The FUSE ESB Developer/Analyst works closely with other members of the technical software operations team to deliver high quality web-based solutions. This key role must have prior knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies including: client requirements gathering, design specifications, solution development and testing of client applications, client support, training, and systems integration.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for enhancing middle-tier applications using Java and the FUSE ESB framework.

Perform various coding and programming tasks, such as design or development of Apache Camel routes, Servicemix components, OSGI services, and SOAP web services.

Role will include the full lifecycle of design, coding, and testing activities.

Facilitate requirements and fit/gap workshops with other technical staff on technical topics and non-functional requirements.

Familiar with SCRUM/Agile methodologies and working in a team environment.

Investigate and resolve situations where actual test results do not match expected test results.

Assist production operations staff in resolving production issues.

To uphold highest professional standards and work ethic expected of all our technical staff and to lead by example when working with less experienced staff.

 

Qualifications / Skill Sets:

4 yr degree (BS in CS, CIS,MIS, Mathematics, Engineering or other hard science. Masters Degree preferred)

4 – 5 years of experience developing software applications and/or web pages using the Java language

Client-focused attitude with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to clearly communicate and share solutions with fellow team members

Proficient in analyzing software requirements and documenting technical specifications for a web-based solution

Experience with the full software development life cycle, with emphasis on technical design and documentation activities

Experience within the past year in a software organization with work cycles and product complexities in an enterprise software solution

Effective listening and problem solving skills

Experience with Java ESB frameworks, FUSE ESB preferred

Experience with build frameworks, Maven preferred

Experience with SOAP web service development, Apache CXF preferred

Java Certified Programmer preferred
