Description:
The ETL Engineer is responsible for proper ETL architecture, standards, best practices as well as collaborating with existing ETL resources to set cutting edge industry standards. The developer will participate in setting strategy and standards through logical and physical modeling and implementation, extracting structured and unstructured data from source systems, transforming it to fit business needs.

Required Skills:
Minimum of 5 years experience SQL & DataBase Knowledge with Scripting

Minimum 2 years Hands-on experience in scripting languages : Unix Shell(preferred), Perl, Python required

Minimum of 5 years of experience at Enterprise-level ETL development and ETL architecture using Informatica/Abinitio/SSIS/other ETL tools with Oracle, Teradata and other file structures required

 

Desired Skills:

•Experience in design, implementation of Data Migration & Integration processes in a high volume, complex multi-source environment

•Experience in design & development using any of Databases : Oracle/SQL Server/Tera Data/Green Plum

•Strong SQL development work experience writing procedure, packages and functions

•Preferred Experience in Informatica with technical knowledge in the areas of Informatica Designer Components-Source Analyzer, Mapping Designer and Mapplet Designer, Transformation Developer, Workflow Manager and Workflow Monitor

•Experience in creating reusable transformations and complex mappings

•Experience in handling high volume data Processing and performance tuning

•Experience in Automating end to end process and support

•Hands-on experience with the Hadoop stack (e.g.HDFS, Sqoop, Pig, Hive, Hbase, Flume)

•Good knowledge of analytical and logical conceptual level programming skills
