Job Description:
NOTE: MUST be able to interview in person and work onsite.
Project Scope: The Client hosts a number of critical enterprise applications on our mainframe. We recently completed a zOS upgrade to version 1.13 with a goal to move to a newer hardware platform in the next 12 months. Additional software upgrades are planned in the near future. We currently have limited in house resources on our system support side and are looking for a resource to augment the current staff.
Role Definition: Under the direction of the Department of Technology Enterprise Application Support ection provide assistance with the following systems.
z/OS systems maintenance, including SMP/E, IODF/IOCDS, performance tuning (DF/SMS, SMF, etc.), capacity planning, etc.
IBM subsystem/product maintenance, including JES/2, PSF, OMVS, TICTOC/HourGlass, etc.
Language maintenance, including Assembler, COBOL (OS/VS COBOL, VS COBOL II, etc.), CLIST, REXX, MXG/SAS, etc
Network maintenance, including TCP/IP, VTAM, etc.
Allen Systems Group product maintenance, including PRO/JCL and ZEKE
Computer Associates (CA) product maintenance, including CA-1, CA-Disk, CA-Optimizer, CA-Panvalet, CA-View, and Ca-Vision Report (QuickJob)
Compuware product maintenance, including File-AID, Abend-AID, and Xpediter
Innovation product maintenance, including FDR
Levi, Ray & Shoup product maintenance, including DRS and VPS
Software AG product installation, configuration and maintenance; including ADABAS and supporting software, Natural and supporting software, COM-PLETE,
EntireX, Predict, and ADABAS SQL Gateway.
Treehouse Software tcVISION installation, configuration and maintenance.
Successful candidates must pass a security background check prior to beginning work.
