Position: Project Manager (07312-KAFO)
Location: Washington, DC
Duration: 6, months
Description:
Provide Project Management support for the full life-cycle development of Business Reporting Tool (BeRT) which includes all phases of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including final implementation and warranty.
Create and maintain appropriate project artifacts as required by the FEP PMO (e.g. Project Charter, Project Plan, Project Schedule, Communication Plan, Resource Plan, Monthly Financial Reports, Risks and Issues Log etc.).
Manage project per the FEP PMO Project Management Life Cycle processes which includes initiation, planning, implementation/execution, monitoring and control and closing.
Manage the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) per the process defined by the IT Development team and Enterprise PMO (based on RUP)
Ensure that three key project constraints are met (scope, schedule and budget) while maintaining quality.
Effectively manage scope, schedule and budget by following a change management process
Ensure that all of the success criteria identified for the projects are met which includes timeliness, quality, budget, system performance and process compliance
Ensure that all risks and issues are properly monitored, resolved and/or mitigated.
Conduct status meetings for the project and actively participate in the PMO weekly and monthly status meetings.
Provide weekly, monthly and ad-hoc status reports as requested by PMO or the Business Owner of the project.
Manage a steering committee comprised of Senior Business and IT Executives
Work closely with Business Leads assigned to the project for the planning, execution and issue resolution.
Performs additional responsibilities, tasks and duties as determined by the FEP PMO.
Qualifications:
Strong Technical Project Management experience. At least 10 years of project management experience in the Business and IT domains.
At least 7 years of experience in managing custom software development project utilizing Rational Unified Process (RUP)
Ability to work with minimal direction and supervision
Ability to take high level requirements and/or scope and drive to successful execution
Ability to lead and manage a cross-functional and multi-disciplinary team comprised of both IT and Business resources
PMP Certification.

Manager and oversee the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) artifacts as required by the RUP.
Other deliverables assigned by the PMO Director, Business Lead and by the Business Sponsor.
