Position: Data Warehouse Tester
Location: Baltimore, MD
Description:

Responsibilities:

* Supports the gathering and analysis of user needs to determine
functional requirements. Performs functional allocation to identify
required tasks and their interrelationships. Identifies resources required
for each task. Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability,
develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans,
procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Coordinates
subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other
organizations. Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive
subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate
system performance. Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration
regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software,
components, subsystems and systems. Possesses strong oral and written
communication skills. Possesses SDLC experience and manages appropriate
levels of documentation as required. Acts as a lead and is responsible for
supporting the accomplishment of schedule milestone and deliverables.
* Perform ETL Testing using Informatica.
* Perform Report Testing using Microstrategy.
* Develop test plans and test cases based on ability to review and
understand business and functional requirements.
* Execute test cases, document results and review with development.
* Track defects to closure and retest as needed.
* Conduct Peer Reviews and Walkthroughs

Requirements:

* Ability to write queries to test ETL and Reports.
* Must possess at least 5 years experience in Conducting Data
Warehouse/ETL/BI Testing (Informatica and/or MicroStrategy a must)
* Experience with Test Automation and Performance Tools (Preferably
QuickTestProfessional, WinRunner, LoadRunner)
* Knowledge, Understanding, and Enforcement of Full Life Cycle
Development Methodologies and Process
* Good Background in SQL Commands and Database (Oracle 10g or 11g
is a plus)
* Good ETL Knowledge (Informatica is a plus)
* Quality Center Tool Experience a plus
* Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
* Strong band Problem Solving Capabilities
* Team Player and Ability to work in a dynamic environment

Education:

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related
discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with least 6 years
of experience in requirements development and analysis.
