Job Description:
The Senior MicroStrategy Developer is responsible for working with a team of Business Analysts on requirements and providing Business Intelligence requirements review, system design, implementation design, development and unit testing to provide full life cycle development. Work is performed within guidelines set by management regarding the development life cycle, version control, source code control, documentation, unit testing, code verification, code deployment, and team collaboration.

 

 

 

Knowledge of MicroStrategy system administration (user/project creation, security, etc), MicroStrategy Reporting Services, design of schema objects such as 
attributes, hierarchies and transformations
Strong report development skills 
Solid experience in performance tuning of reports using VLDB settings
Strong understanding of data modeling concepts
Experience working with a Relational Database using SQL (Teradata, Oracle preferred) 
Creation of complex metrics, conditional and level metrics and their use within a report context
Developing dashboards with panels, selectors and links

 

 

 

Desired Skills and Experience:
5 years; Prefer: 7 years' experience in IT with MicroStrategy or Cognos
Experience with SDLC, requirements review, system design, implementation design, Unit Testing and working with automated continuous integration testing is 
a plus. 
A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) required
