Position: Lead Requirements Analyst (Ref code: 101114-RECCAR-IO38.5-JOH)
Location: Washington, DC (metro accessible via Smithsonian metro stop)
Duration: 6 months+
Submittal Requirement: Writing Sample (Business Requirements Document and Functional Specifications preferred)
Tasks:
Work as part of a team in a lead Requirements Analyst role to define the impact of the system changes. Required changes to the client Clarity system (and interface systems) shall be defined using use cases, functional specifications, user interface specifications and requirements traceability matrixes.
Tasks include the following key activities:
Perform analysis of the business requirement and develop functional requirements and/or use cases for the assigned area of the FEPOC system
Provide input into the development of work efforts in support of proposed system changes
Collaborate with the internal teams and the end clients to create and maintain all necessary requirements documents, use cases, and requirements traceability matrices
Conduct requirement walkthroughs and peer reviews following FEPOC procedures and guidelines.
Maintain traceability between the base-lined business requirements and functional/ system requirements and/or use cases.
Maintain requirements in requirements management tool such as HP ALM.
Create and maintain business process models.
Perform UAT for validation and verification of business requirements.
Provide assistance with research to assess benefits development as needed.
Competencies:
5+ years experience as a Requirements/Business Analyst writing use cases and developing functional/system specifications hands-on. (Critical)
Strong verbal and written communication skills (Critical)
Ability to facilitate requirements gathering sessions
Collaborate and interpret business and technical needs
Candidate must have strong writing and analytical skills
Strong requirements elicitation, specification, and validation knowledge and experience
Excellent attention to detail (e.g., data consistency, punctuation, etc.). (Critical)
Strong customer service skills with internal and external customers
Must be able to perform assigned tasks with minimum supervision
Excellent time management ability.
