The client's Portfolio is looking for an efficient and highly motivated Business Analyst with experience implementing complex IT projects preferably in the Financial Risk Management domain.
The person needs to hit the ground running and have a fast learning curve.
The candidate is expected to:
Gather requirements from specialists for financial statement spreading and analysis, build excel templates and interface with external vendor to accurately implement them.
Identify stakeholders of the project, their specific needs and priorities.
Capture and maintain the stakeholder RACI matrix for business functions and information entities.
Harmonize requirements and templates across all Business stakeholders.
Develop a good understanding of existing applications for measuring credit risk.
Identify and analyze dependencies between various systems and the new Risk Platform.
Analyze the business processes and requirements w.r.t the difference business aspects of the project.
Collaborate with the business SMEs, business leads, business analysts and business users from different business and technology units to understand and analyze business and functional requirements.
Prepare Business , System Requirements and Use Case Specifications document as per industry best practices.
Use standard requirements management tool for managing and tracking requirements and traceability.
Prepare test case specification document.
Prepare and maintain meeting minutes, action items; Track action items to closure pertaining to the Requirements management process.
Work closely with the project team members (developers, testers business analysts, vendor consultants and user leads) to clarify requirements through the development life-cycle.
Work with the other functional units in the IT department and make sure all the requirements are captured and documented as per the specifications.
Closely co-ordinate with the business leads and users for defining the user scenarios and acceptance criteria.
Closely Co-ordinate with the business leads and users, application vendor during User Acceptance testing.
Coordinate user review, user acceptance testing and sign-off.
Assist Project Manager in tracking and monitoring of the project plan.
Required Skills:
MBA or an equivalent degree, Finance focus is preferred
Bachelors degree in IT or Computer Science
Minimum 4-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst
Motivated and result oriented individual who can add value and work on tight deadlines for deliverables
Knowledge of Financial Statements Analysis, Banking and Corporate Finance
Experience eliciting and discovering requirements
Excellent English written and oral communication skills
Ability to interface with both business and technology groups
Strong understanding of SDLC processes (Classical and Agile) and Project Management principles
Experience documenting detailed and lucid business and system requirements
Experience coordinating and conducting workshops for requirements gathering
Requirements management tools such as HP Application Life-cycle Management (ALM)
Strong Excel skills
Understanding business process models
Using various types of requirements modelling and capture techniques such as Use-case modelling, Functional requirements decomposition
Analyzing business needs for data marts and analytical platforms
Desired Skills (Skills not Mandatory but useful for Performance):
Prior experience working as a Business analyst in the Financial Risk
Management domain (Credit Risk, Market Risk, Capital Adequacy)
Data Analysis and understanding of database query languages
