Job Description:

Responsible for managing SharePoint farms and servers.

Includes daily ticket resolution, rotating oncall schedule, and rotating weekend change schedules.

This role requires someone beyond the basic Administration/SCA experience.

Resource should be capable of performing advanced SharePoint commands, basic server commands, troubleshooting problems, and working with a corporate change management process.

Resource should understand how SharePoint interfaces with servers & SQL Support SharePoint Farms (2007/10/13)

-NOT SharePoint Site Administrator

-Must know Central Admin

-Must understand STSADM

-Must know how to add/remove content databases

-Must be able to troubleshoot end user problems with sites when the site does not work the way it is designed

-Must be able to interpret alerts when SharePoint components fail

-Must understand interconnectivity between Web Front Ends, SQL Server, Central Admin.
