Job Description:

Our client is looking for a software design engineer in test who is passionate about delivering a high quality platform for our clients TV product line. You will be designing, coding and maintaining automated suite suites for your area. You will also be expected to devise test plans for technical feature areas and will work very closely with your product developers to provide test coverage as early as possible in the development cycle.

Ideal candidates will have a passion for breaking things and writing code. Past experience with Linux based operating systems such as Android or WebOS is desired. You will be using Java, JavaScript, Python or C/C++ to implement your solutions. You must be extremely proficient with computer science fundamentals (i.e. algorithms, design patters, etc.) and be able to easily demonstrate this via successes in your past experiences.

We need you to be a good team player with strong communication skills and with the desire to learn as much as possible about breaking and hacking software.

Required:

-Strong CS fundamentals (data-structures, algorithms, design patterns, etc.).

-Understanding of high-level programming language (such as C/C++, Java or C#) or scripting languages (such as Perl or Python).

-Strong instincts about good software architecture and design.

-Strong interest in breaking or hacking software.

-2+ years of experience writing automation or working with testing frameworks.

-Good understanding of test methodologies (performance, stress, scale, functional, unit, code coverage, static analysis, etc.).

-Past experience with embedded devices (such as Android, iPhone, STB's, gaming consoles, etc.).

-Familiarity with Agile development approaches.

-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to communicate and work with geographically disparate teams.

-Bachelor Degree in Computer Science.
