Job Title: Mobile User Interface Engineer III (021414-MICDUR-IO34-E-RAJ)

POSITION SUMMARY:

A Mobile UIE3 is specialized in mobile development, both with HTML5 and with native app code, either Android or iOS (both is a bonus). They should have built at least two apps that have been live in the app store and used on phones, one with HTML5 and one in native code (popularity isn't required, the apps might have only been downloaded a few times, that's fine as long as they've had the experience of publishing real apps).

The Mobile UIE3 should also be an expert in HTML5, CSS3, Responsive Design, JavaScript and jQuery. This position will interact closely with project management and software engineers to shape mobile project requirements and guide mobile projects through completion.

 

Experience with the entire mobile development lifecycle is critical to this role.

INTERVIEW REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to solve problems on a white board using hand-written pseudo-code (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript)

Must understand advanced HTML and CSS, and advanced JavaScript functions without needing a computer for reference

Must have created several websites from scratch, with preference given to single page JavaScript applications and mobile web apps (or apps that use Responsive Design to adapt to mobile devices)

Must have created and published at least 1 mobile app in HTML5 and CSS3

Must have created and published at least 1 mobile app using native code, either iOS or Android

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Build, test, deploy and maintains front-end code for accessible mobile web pages and applications in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and jQuery

Build, test, deploy and maintains code fo accessible mobile applications in native mobile code (either Java or Objective C)

Manage projects and coordinate with othestakeholders

Participate in project planning and estimating

Works tightly with other members of the team

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:

5+ years of professional experience in web development or a related field.

1+ years of professional experience in mobile development

Related Skills & Other Requirements:

Significant JavaScript knowledge

Significant jQuery knowledge

Experience with XML and JSON

Experience with Responsive Design

Significant knowledge of accessibility and WCAG2 AA

compliance

Significant knowledge of mobile development

Experience using JavaScript and jQuery with server

side technology

Expert knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
