Description:

§ Architecture responsibilities

o Lead in planning out the entire SharePoint environment from server and network layout, to how services are going to be load balanced, and will assist in flushing out the governance plan.

o Ability to understand, propose changes to, and use a SharePoint architecture that supports Colonial Savings needs

o Understanding of System architecture (as it relates to SharePoint), including:

§ §  Server architecture – the physical servers used to

§ §  Storage architecture

§ §  Network architecture

§ §  The use of Virtual server technology (VMWare) in system architecture

o In this role, plan out the architecture of everything and ensure optimal performance based on needs.

o Able to design a SharePoint security model (using Active Directory)

§ §  Able to design for remote access (SP2013, F5 firewall)

o Must have a strong understanding of SharePoint Service Architecture

§ Engineer Responsibilities

o Expert on how to correctly install, configure and administer the farm(s) based on sizing and use needs. Manage and execute patching, ensuring uptime, server maintenance and everything in between.

o Expert on how to provision users, roles, rights, access, and MySites (SP2013)

o Knowledgeable on supporting a secure deployment of SkyDrive Pro (MySite related, SP2013)

o Expert at building scripts and automation for routine SharePoint system operations

o Expert at diagnosing and correcting SharePoint performance and function issues

o Expert at supporting and auditing a SharePoint security implementation based on a security model

o Knowledgeable about SharePoint Search services and meta-data

o Knowledgeable about SharePoint workflow management

o Knowledgeable about SharePoint capacity planning

o Understanding of Information Architecture, taxonomy, and knowledge management disciplines.

· Administration Responsibilities

o We are planning on implementing the Federated Support Model,  meaning that each Site Collection will be supported by the(a) Site Collection Administrator. Issues will first be passed through the Site Collection Administrator and if needed, validated by the SharePoint Project Manager and Governance Committee.

§ Expert at site collection and site creation, maintenance, and support

§ Knowledgeable about the use of SharePoint Lists and Views

§ Knowledgeable about in the use of standard SharePoint Web Parts

§ Knowledgeable about how to setup and support a BI dashboard (not support the analytics, just the presentation)

§ Knowledgeable about SharePoint databases (created and used by business); how to manage space and manage performance

·Development Support Responsibilities (Not Required, but nice to have)

o Knowledgeable about SharePoint custom development (apps, custom solutions, and branding).

o Knowledgeable about Team Foundation Server (TFS)

o Hands-on experience and capabilities for developing and deploying customized SharePoint solutions. And should have the ability to develop change management plans to support SharePoint deployments.
