Description:
8 years experience administering, supporting, and implementing Microsoft Windows server systems (2000, 2003, 2008).
Microsoft MCSE Certification.
Experience and knowledge of Microsoft server environment implementation and integration at an enterprise level. Expert level experience with Exchange 2010, SQL server, Microsoft Forefront, Powershell scripting, Active Directory, and Microsoft System Center products.
Experience should include server design, support and implementation.
Experience with server and storage - setup, performance monitoring, maintenance and support ie. hardware issues, disk errors, etc.
Experience with desktop technologies and interaction in a Microsoft Enterprise
Experience supporting and troubleshooting in a production server, 24/7, change-managed, multi-platform environment and with cross-platform integration.
Demonstrated experience with VMware virtualization technologies and solutions.
Demonstrated ability to perform competently under pressure and handle interruptions and change without losing productivity.
Oral communications skills, which demonstrates the ability to effectively convey and explain information and tactfully deal with diverse people, situations and ideas.
Excellent written communications skills, which demonstrate the ability to draft clear, concise specifications and documentation for the team as well as internal
process documentation and end user FAQ's.
Demonstrated experience in a lead project role and with project management skills.
Demonstrated experience providing customer support at the enterprise level.
Summary:
Administers and supports Windows servers, VMware Virtual server farm.
Installs, configures, implements and troubleshoots Windows infrastructure systems, specifically Windows Active Directory, Sharepoint 2007/2010, Windows Systems Center System Configuration and Operations Manager, Microsoft Exchange 2010, Microsoft SQL server, Microsoft Forefront, as well as the VMware vSphere 5.0 host systems.
Provides support for ITS Disaster Recovery initiative for windows based systems specifically for Email, Active Directory, Sharepoint using VMware SRM or an alternate solution as decided by the team.
Significantly contributes to the planning, implementation and evaluation of the deployment of automated server-based technologies to centrally managed computers.
Provides input to system initiatives, such as design modifications, and also provides recommendations to proposed policy updates and/or standard operating procedures related to or growing out of the development or regular upgrading of the Windows Systems architecture.
Plans, coordinates and completes required assignments.
Provides technical assistance, and researches/offers practical solutions to a wide range of complex technical issues.
