Job Title: PeopleSoft Developer HCM/HRMS (10114-KOEXEI-IO46-RAJ)
Location: Washington, DC
Duration: 9+ month contract with likely long term extension
Emp.Type: 1099/W2

 

Job Description:
In-depth technical knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM 8.9 or 9.1.

8 years experience with a Bachelors in EE, CS, Math or Related Field; MS/MBA desirable.
Strong SQR and PeopleTools development and testing experience. Will develop new code and test all code changes.


Will work with a small team so both a technical and a functional background is key.
Will support large scale production issues and develop and test production fixes.
Extensive experience with PeopleSoft HR applications.
Proven experience and interest in developing unit, integration, system, and regression test plans and in supporting the business analysts in developing functional and user acceptance test plans.
Experience and interest in troubleshooting user-reported incidents and managing such incidents to closure.
Interacts with customers in refining requirements, producing technical designs and resolving problems and support issues.

Reviews work of lower-level developers.
Conducts or contributes to product demonstrations, technology seminars, and review of emerging technologies.
Requires detailed and comprehensive knowledge of the business objectives, HR policies and processes.
Excellent knowledge of and extensive experience developing applications in a variety of programming languages, operating systems and computer platforms.
Expert and comprehensive functional knowledge of human resource systems.
Expert knowledge of emerging tools and technologies.
Able to effectively communicate with peers and subordinates and management both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work with clients, vendors, and management to obtain outstanding results.
Ability to analyze and manage multiple complex systems development projects.


Extensive experience leading the installation of an HCM module at a medium to large scale client. This experience should include the full system development lifecycle including business requirements analysis, design, software configuration, development, data conversion, etc.
In-depth knowledge of and experience defining and maintaining the HCM setup and configuration parameters.
Excellent understanding of HCM functionality, embedded business processes and key business concepts.
In-depth experience analyzing business requirements, designing and developing major enhancements and bolt-on features to HCM modules.
Substantial hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing and troubleshooting solutions in the following areas: Core HR, North American Payroll, Pension, or Tax.
Demonstrated expert-level experience in designing, developing, testing and troubleshooting solutions using the PeopleSoft Component Interface.
Possess expert-level knowledge of writing and debugging SQL in the ORACLE environment, as well as developing SQR reports.
Possess demonstrated experience in integrating SaaS solutions with PeopleSoft.
Experience and interest in supervising the work of more junior developers.
Proven experience and interest in developing technical design specifications and systems documentation.
Able to use Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, to develop presentations for users, to validate technical designs.
Knowledge of BluePrint requirements tool, Hewlett Packard's Quality Center, or HP LoadRunner would be useful.
Possess strong attention to detail in order to ensure thorough application testing and to verify the accuracy of system data.
Ability to multi-task, establish and manage multiple priorities simultaneously, is also critical. Flexibility and
adaptability are essential skills.
