Location: Marietta, GA (10 minutes from Atlanta, GA).

Duration: 6 months

 

Description:

Technical strengths in SQL Optimization, Normalization, Performance tuning, ETL, SSIS, SSRS

Position Tasks:
Build and refine Project Database(s) in preparation for Project Go-Live in mid-2014.
1. Create/Edit/Maintain ETL processes utilizing Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) from a diversity of data sources including other servers, flat files, MS Access and Excel.
2. Create and produce cyclical and ad hoc reports for the business as requirements evolve using Microsoft Excel and/or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
3. Create complex queries and Stored Procedures using SQL Server 2005/2008.
4. Participate in data maintenance and database improvements following Best Practices for data-typing, relational data structure and data quality.
5. Execute and troubleshoot ETL processes for cyclical data loads.
6. Create/maintain an internal SSRS Reporting Center for both Project Metrics, as well as reports that help internal Implementation Managers to manage their workloads.
7. Troubleshoot and correct any reported data issues in deliverables.
8. Other related tasks as requirements evolve.

Required Experience:
5 or more years of experience working with SQL Server including SQL Server 2005/2008, developing complex scripts and stored procedures utilizing Transact SQL, and including the following:
--Create and edit SSIS ETL packages including error management and logging.
--SSRS development within BIDS Business Intelligence Development Studio Environment
--Strong understanding of relational database principles
--Business Reporting and Analysis utilizing Microsoft Excel, SSRS and Transact SQL scripting
--Ability to perform financial and/or numeric reconciliations to verify results of ETL Processes to requirements
--Performance tune slow or resource-intensive scripts, procedures and reports
--ASP.net experience developing HTML-based data interfaces that would allow internal customers to construct their own output and update some aspects of database data

Highly Desirable:
--Background/Experience in Banking
--Background/Experience with financial analysis and reporting including reconciliations
