Business/ Technical Analyst (22912. KAFO)

Rockville, MD

Six month plus contract.

Responsible for analysis and evaluation of user business problems and development of system recommendations to meet requirements. Translates high-level business requirements into functional specifications for business application development. Interviews end users to obtain and document the detailed business requirements for projects. Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology. Combines understanding of IT and business processes to recommend solutions. Assignments typically include problem definition, evaluation of requirements, and implementation of systems to meet business and user requirements. Experience developing use cases, use case model, supplementary requirements, and business rules is essential. Strong knowledge of MS Project, Excel, MS Word and Visio Drawing tool along with general familiarity with Outlook and other MS Office applications is also required. Excellent analytical skills and communication skills required. 6+ yrs of experience.

1. Understand business process management and business requirements of the customers and translating them to specific software requirements. 2. Making sure that the solution recommended is commercial yet competitive. 3. Document and analyze the required information and data. 4. Understand technical designs as well as the specifications. 5. Evaluate information gathered through workshops and business process description and task analysis. 6. Effectively communicate with internal teams and external clients to deliver functional requirements like GUI, screen and interface designs. 7. Very strong technical skills coupled with business intelligence and a deep understanding of customer's needs so that they can be transformed into application and operational requirements. 8. Act as an interface between business units, technology teams and support teams 9. Prior experience with a Scrum team mandatory 10 Prior experience with testing mandatory 11. Must be willing to test up to 40% of the time
