Required Skills/Experience (Skills that the successful candidate(s) must have)

The typical candidate must be able to work with a team to analyze, design, develop and integrate applications to support a corporate intranet application. The assignment requires the candidate to have a strong technical background along with the ability to perform business analysis and write effective documentation and specifications. Must posess strong interpersonal communication skills. Must work both independently and with a team. The candidate will be expected to perform all phases of the System Development Life Cycle: business analysis, technical analysis, project planning, database design, systems design, application software programming, testing, post-production support and development of user / project management documentation. Skills required are:
SQL Server, complex SQL queries, and SSIS
Microsoft SQL-Server 2008 DB development and programming
Visual Studio 2008, JavaScript and Visual Basic .NET
Web design and development with IIS .NET
GUI Screen Design
Develop Thorough Testing Strategy and conduct all phases of testing


Additional Skills (Skills that are a plus, but not required)

TFS - Team Foundation Server;
Experience with Charting software (ex, Dundas)


Assignment

All phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle. Candidate will be responsible for the successful implementation of the Yard Time Monitoring System. This system will provide dashboard and graphical representations of data surrounding yard performance. This system will be utilized at the highest levels of our corporation.
