Contract opportunities for Principal Software Architects with our clients in
Windsor Mill, Maryland.
Position Requirements:
* Bachelors Degree in a related business or technical discipline, or
the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or
work/military experience.
* 8 - 10 years of professional experience in actual project/system
design, or manufacturing engineering, or six years of software
design/development:
- (1) at least 5 years of which involved information technology
systems/applications; or
- (2) at least 2 years of which involved decision support, management
information, and database systems.
* SOA skills are highly sought and these candidates will be given
first consideration
* Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and
procedures.
* Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
* A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
* Knows how to develop in Java, BPEL or a combination and to link
through data and technical services to other COTS packages.
* Able to follow a disciplined Service Development process and work
well in an integrated service environment.
* Can lead a team of 5-7 and define the design rules and recommend
improvements of the process and products.
* Experienced with Oracle BPM, SOA Suite, Oracle Data Integration,
JDeveloper or BE
* Experience with WebSphere 5.0 or greater and WebSphere MQ.
* Demonstrated experience in application architecture in a Multi-Tier
environment.
* UNIX experience using SSH and performing application installations
and configuration.
* Keeps abreast of latest development tools and techniques
* Ability to process, organize, plan, analyze and prioritize
logically.
* Ability to be flexible to changing demands and priorities.
* Ability to work in a high intensity environment and to meet tight
deadlines.
* Knowledge of the software build, configuration and release process
supporting the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
* Understand the Infrastructure and work with the Infrastructure
contractor- knowledge of performance, virtual environment and when cloud
technology can be applied.
* Oracle Visual environment and Cloud Development approaches.
* Strong knowledge of performance and workload management.
* Strong communication skills, both written and oral
* Strong customer and business focus
* Ability to handle multiple priorities, and assess and adjust quickly
to changing priorities
* Positive can-do attitude
* Excellent teamwork and organizational skills
