WEB DEVELOPER
Location: DC Metro.
Duration : 3 months.

Responsibilities:
Under the general supervision of a senior staff programmer, the application
developer will assume the following responsibilities. Some specific
responsibilities would include redesign of the
Enterprise Surveys website, others would include:

Manage and program for the web sites
Develop and maintain computer programs that integrate many interrelated
systems and program elements
Provide support in the migration to Sitecore, the Units new content
management system
Help with ongoing site maintenance and troubleshooting
Assist users in acceptance testing

Competencies:
Strong theoretical background and substantial experience in information
technology, particularly in programming
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including proficiency in the
development and implementation of systems of moderate size/complexity
Ability to handle tasks independently with little or no supervision
Strong communication (spoken and written) skills, including the ability to
advise and train users in the use of complex systems/applications and
effectively prepare specifications and other written reports/documentation
in a clear, concise style
Interest in learning and adapting to new and evolving technologies
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a team environment
Selection Criteria:

This position requires a seasoned programmer with the following skills:
A Bachelor and/or Master of Science degree in computer science or a related
field
Detailed understanding of object oriented programming techniques, including
design patterns and Agile development methodologies
At least 6+ years of experience programming with Microsoft technology and
should have extensively worked in .NET technologies, including ASP.NET and
C#.
Expertise with databases (including Microsoft SQL Server 2005, and
Transact-SQL), creating and performance-tuning of stored procedures, and SQL
functions
HTML, XML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript and AJAX Controls experience
Experience creating reports with Crystal Reports
