Job Description:

 

This is a resource with significant experience in SQL Server needed to support our Investments trading database farms and provide production support of major trading and compliance applications to include Charles River, Salerio and Unity. The role includes basic database administration, performance tuning, and user support of critical Investments and Trade Support including the following:

- User requests generated by development resources being added for IFOS project work.

- Growth in usage for MS SQL Server.

- Support for eventual analytics capabilities and maintenance per the client's roadmap.

- Anticipated growth of analytics data.

- Expertise in SQL Server 2008 and 2012.

- Experience with database monitoring tools.

- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation support of trading systems.

Required Skill Set:

- SQL Server database adminstrator in SQL Server 2008R2 or higher - Expert (5+ years)

- SQL Server installation, configuration, maintenance - Expert (5+ years)

- Monitoring, alerting, clustering, partitioning, upgrading - Expert (5+ years)

- Database performance tuning - Expert (5+ years)

- SQL Server Business Intelligence insallation & configuration - Expert (5+ years)

- Excellent Verbal & written communication & consulting skills - Expert (5+ years)

- Storage space management - Expert (5+ years)
