SCOPE OF SERVICES:

The  engineers will help to redesign and re-distribute the data lifecycle workload more effectively to accommodate data growth and lifecycle including server migrations. More specifically, this role includes:

- Assist with configuration activities for Virtual Machine clients and ESX host systems to use Fiber channel based archive and recovery. This will be done in phases over the time the resources are available.
- Verify all related environments pre-requisites and insure client functionality requirements.
- Strategize, implement, and configure the NetBackup software to DoITTs multi-tenancy environment
- Configure the software feature sets, encryption key master system and storage drives and media.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Senior Level Technical Administration for Netbackup 7.1 or higher.
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Senior Level Technical Administrative in at least one operating system.
- Understanding of Backup and Recovery processes and procedures.
- Senior level of understanding of data encryption, data deduplication, and data lifecycle management.

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE :

- Senior Level Technical Administration experience in multiple operating systems such as Linux, VMware, Windows and Solaris is desirable.
- Understanding of Data Domain dedupe devices.
- SAN / NAS administration and design.
- Backup and Recovery architecture and design.
