Role Description:

Candidates will be part of Data Warehouse Engineering group. This position requires hands-on Teradata Application DBA experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Teradata Architecture, Design, Development and Optimization of applications. Resource will be required to work with the Global Wealth Management Datawarehouse. Teradata engineering group, US.

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelors/Masters Degree in Engineering, preferably Computer Science, from a top tier university

Years of experience:

5+ years hands-on Teradata experience with at least 2+ years of Application DBA experience

Qualifications:

Strong experience in Teradata Administration Tools

Understanding of various Teradata Indexing choices

Excellent experience with data loading utilities including Fast Load, Multiload

Expert performance tuning skills for large databases including addressing CPU, DATA & I/O skew.

Excellent SQL coding & tuning skills with in-depth knowledge in analyzing SQL Explain plans.

Proficient in UNIX scripting using Korn Shell, sed, awk and Perl

Excellent analytical ability, strong consultative and communication skills
