Job Description:

PROJECT:
This position is responsible for participating in a team of 3 Lotus Notes Engineers to upgrade to the latest
platform, Note 9. Responsibilities include 3rd level support and trouble shooting of issues that occur as part of the implementation. Must be a proactive problem solver that can take an issue and work independently to resolution

REQUIREMENTS
- Enthusiastic mind set, works in group as well independent is well spoken (and surely not afraid to speak up!) and able to operate in different roles during the Lotus Notes/Domino 9 project itself such as: participate in QA testing, upgrade servers, work on training materials, etc.
- Experience as a participant in major Lotus Notes / Domino upgrade projects
- Knows and understand differences and features of Lotus Notes / Domino version 9 vs older versions
- Upgrade to version 9.x (IBM's current release level) of Notes and Domino
- Any Linux experience is a PLUS, not a requirement
- Ability to assist with Linux to Microsoft windows server migration following documented process.
- Research and resolve many compatibility issues with Microsoft Outlook calendaring (used by Firm's clients).
- Improve Webmail functionality with newer browser versions.
- Enable single-sign on to sign into your workstation and have it automatically log you into Notes upon launch, thereby removing or reducing the need for a separate Notes password and changing it every 60 days.
- Use a local mail cache file (aka managed replica) will allow for faster handling of new, reply and forwarding of Email messages (especially with large attachments). Increase security by encrypting client to server and server to server communications.
- Review and simplify mail and other templates to "out of box" where possible in order to simplify support and change management.
- Upgrade RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating system to latest stable, compatible version with latest security patches.
- Implement Active Directory integration into RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating system to minimize the administrative requirements to manage admin passwords on all RHEL mail servers.

Knowledge of setting up single sign on features in Domino 9.
