Position Programmer Analyst (Mainframe/COBOL) (21215-NIKHRI-IO36-O-BAN)

Location: Macon, GA

Duration: 6+ months

Citizenship: H1, TN, EAD, Green Card, US Citizen (must be on your W2, no layers)

Interview Process: Phone Interview / Onsite, in-person interview (NO SKYPE)

 

Must Have's:

 

  1. 5+ years programming experience on integrated applications. 
    2. Strong CICS, DB2, COBOL, JCL technical skills. 
    3. Solid experience with related development tools including ENDEVOR and TSO. 
    4. Strong analysis skills for problem solving as well as for creation of project artifacts. 
    5. Working knowledge of all aspects of the project and software development life-cycle, from inception to implementation. 
    6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
    7. Proven ability to learn and understand new business systems and detailed business processes. 
    8. Candidate must be self-motivated, work independently, and yet function as an integral part of a team. 

Nice to Have:

.NET and SQL Server skills are a plus. 

 

Description:

Seeking a highly motivated Sr. Programmer Analyst with mainframe experience using CICS, COBOL, DB2, Endeavor and JCL. This team supports a variety of high profile financial/revenue applications including both mainframe and server platforms. Systems include Receipts, Returns, and Settlement processing. This team works with banking organizations to ensure proper real-time communication of card approvals occur, daily payments are posted and settled in a timely manner, and handles processes for recurring payment methods for both EFT and RCC. The successful candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, be results oriented and able to work independently with minimum supervision. A strong knowledge of the software development life cycle is a must as well as critical thinking, decision making, and problem solving skills. Candidate must be able to translate user requirements into detailed system requirements, and produce well-defined design deliverables and software. Must be willing to contribute as a team player, provide 24/7 production support on a rotating basis and multi-task. Knowledge and experience with Web Services, .NET and SQL Server skills are a plus. Shows an appropriate sense of urgency.
