Job Description:

 

To be considered a candidate will have professional experience gathering functional requirement for application development, enhancement and testing. You will have worked with project SMEs to ensure business requirements are verified and that appropriate business resources possessing the right level of functional knowledge are engaged throughout the project.

Business process mapping, business process reengineering and business process analysis skills are in your professional toolbox and you will have used these skills to assist in Third Line Support of production issue resolution as it pertains to business processes.

Your background shows experience auditing business blueprint/ design documents for configuration readiness and experience reviewing UAT scenarios and testing approaches/materials to ensure business requirements are met.

For this project BI Business Analyst you will:

* Work with internal Land Operations and Land Administration customers to gather detailed business requirements for Land Metrics and Reports, to be developed utilizing SAP Business Objects

* Be involved in all phases of the project life cycle, with an emphasis on Analysis and Design

* Collect and transform data into valuable reports that provide insight

* Determine which dimensions, measures, and details should be used when creating reports along with how to structure the information

* Maintain or update business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems, or methods, and help develop the user documentation

* Conduct or coordinate tests to ensure that reports are consistent with defined needs

* Conduct report demonstrations and provide training to internal customers at all levels of the organization

* Manage timely flow of business intelligence information to users

* Manage User Acceptance Testing and the feedback process from representatives of the user community.

Qualifications:

* 5+ years work experience in complex reporting

* A solid understanding of basic data warehouse structures

* A high level of competency and demonstrable skills in SAP Business Objects and all of its tools

* A proven track record of designing processes and applications

* The ability to work in a highly visible role that will interact with individuals at all organizational levels, internal and external, and at remote locations

* Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, as well as the ability to plan, conduct and document in Business Requirements interviews with managers and users

* Superior "hands-on" problem solving skills, a strong work ethic and finely tuned attention to detail

* Analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving problems

* Working knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) strategies

* The ideal candidate should have detailed knowledge of the upstream oil industry (E&P), specifically about Land Operations and Land Administration
