Job Description:

 

The primary job duties of this position include: data security, data modeling and database design, and assisting in establishing and maintaining standard development practices for the data warehouse.

The benefits to OCFS are primarily increased availability of CONNECTIONS data and an increase in reporting flexibility. The impact from not approving this request is a limitation on and a significant delay in the delivery of CONNECTIONS reports and the associated ODS data extract solution. The workload of the current Data Warehouse staff is too great to absorb the work performed by this resource.

1. Work in coordination with a team of developers to expand the current Data Warehouse.
2. Work with Business Analyst & customers on analysis and logical design for mappings and ETL.

3. Perform unit testing and correct all identified bugs.

4. Perform complex PL/SQL coding in a Data Warehouse environment.

5. Writing Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) routines for the Data Warehouse to support the CONNECTIONS initiatives.

6. Modify Data Warehouse routines as needed to support the functionality and security requirement for CONNECTIONS.

7. Design/model, construct, load, and validate the data tables though the enterprise Data Warehouse architecture to support CONNECTIONS Data Warehouse projects and Cognos Reporting.

8. Design & Develop the new/re-write NCANDS project.

Requirements:

1. 60 months experience in a data warehouse setting as a developer utilizing an enterprise data warehouse with dependent data marts. 7.5 10

2. 60 months experience using advanced Extract/Transform/Load techniques including bulk select, bulk insert, arrays, dynamic SQL and developing detailed incremental ETL processes. 7.5 10

3. 60 months experience building, maintaining and optimizing Data Marts for efficient usage by applications and users for such tasks as reporting. 7.5 10

4. 48 months experience in an Oracle Data Warehouse as a developer performing development work. 7.5 10

5. 60 months experience using PL/SQL 7.5 10

6. 48 months experience developing and testing maps in Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB) or Informatica, including data versioning techniques. 7.5 10

7. 60 months problem solving technical issues demonstrating high ability to think and resolve issues under pressure. 7.5 10
