Job Title:  Healthcare Business Analyst (Ref Code: 021113-BRABER-IO32-E-SAN)

Location:  Washington, DC

Duration:  Long Term

Visa Type: GC/USC/EAD


Job Description:


Tasks:

1.Requirements analysis support for one or more of the following projects: MyBlue Customer eService.

2. Work as part of a team of Requirements Analysts to define the requirements for the project and develop

project documentation in conjunction with other members of the project team.

3. If there is any time available due to the delay in the start of a project, delay during a project, or other

interruption in a project, the consultant will be applied to (1) another project, (2) support work not being

done due to an open FTE positions, or (3) help develop time gap between requirements development and

the releases.

4. Perform full life-cycle activities in support of the project and backfill for the Requirements Analysts that

work on other projects. These tasks include the following activities:

 

Perform analysis of the business requirement and develop functional specifications, use cases, data maps, and/or data schemas (e.g., API, XSD) for the assigned area of the system Provide input into the development of work efforts in support of proposed system changes

Collaborate with the internal teams and the end clients to create and maintain all necessary requirements documents, functional specifications, use cases, and requirements traceability matrices

Conduct requirement walkthroughs and peer reviews following procedures and guidelines.

Maintain traceability between the base-lined business requirements and functional requirements and/or use cases.

Maintain requirements in requirements management tool such as IBM Rational Requirements Composer.

Create and maintain business process models.

Perform UAT for validation and verification of business requirements.

Provide assistance with research to assess benefit development as needed.

Provide knowledge transfer for the full time business analysts

Generate a weekly Status Report


Skills:

1. 5+ years experience as a Requirements/Business Analyst writing use

cases and functional specifications hands-on. (Critical)

2. Very strong verbal and written communication skills (Critical)

i. Ability to facilitate requirements gathering sessions

ii. Collaborate and interpret business and technical needs

3. Excellent attention to detail (e.g., data consistency, punctuation, etc.). (Critical)

4. 3+ years hands-on experience working with XML and APIs/XSDs. (Highly Preferred)

5. 2+ years experience with health insurance as a payer or provider (Highly Preferred)

6. Strong customer service skills with internal and external customers

7. Must be able to perform assigned tasks with minimum supervision

8. Strong analytical and documentation skills

9. Excellent time management ability.

IBM Rational Requirements Composer, HP Quality Center

Business Process Modeling tool, Provision (highly desired)
