The Homeland & Civilian Solutions Business Unit currently has a Chief Architect opening. The candidate must have detailed server, and processing technology experience. They should also have management consultant skills to lead and guide Sr. level management for proposed solutions.

JOB DESCRIPTION: This critical and influential position is responsible for leading and guiding C-Level decision makers, architects, and engineers in the enterprise migration to a Linux Red Hat environment for a large Federal Government client in Lanham, MD. Will use management consultant skills to lead and guide Sr. level management for proposed service solutions. Will be responsible for providing senior consulting expertise in developing migration strategy and addressing all Linux Redhat conversion issues throughout migration lifecycle from planning through implementation. Position requires strong analytical and decision-making skills, excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, a highly customer-focused approach to collaborating with customers and problem solving, enterprise system thinking with strong business acumen; and an ability to understand the big picture and to incorporate it into analysis and interpretation.

EDUCATION: Bachelors degree and 10+ years of experience or 15 years in lieu of degree. With a Masters degree 8 years of experience is required.

REQUIRED SKILLS: Experience dealing with large government agencies. Candidates should possess 10 or more years of professional experience, with expert level knowledge of Linux Red Hat technology and with experience leading Linux deployments/migrations. Candidate must have expert level experience in use of Maven technology and Red Hat Satellite Server. Also experience is expected in development stack support [java, middleware, databases, presentation], virtualization, OS abstraction, file systems, OS clustering, file system clustering, host based replication, cloud orchestration, multi-tenant support) with varying platforms (Windows, Solaris, Linux, x86, Blades, SPARC, Mainframe).
