About the Job.

The Business Analyst will work within the client's business community to
ensure systems meet the known and unknown business requirements of the user
community with emphasis on optimal business processes.​

Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and lead user discovery sessions and project team
meetings to gather and organize project business requirements and use cases
on assigned projects.​ Work with project leaders and architects to
determine the right technical solutions that meet the business requirements
* Analyze and document IT and business processes and design
improvements that reduce expense and increase customer satisfaction through
improvements in quality, efficiency, and communication
* Design, coordinate, and execute application functional tests to
assure fulfillment of business requirements and IT quality, architectural,
and security standards
* Work closely with the quality assurance team on the correct
methodology/​tools/​reporting, focusing on requirements and user test
methodology
* Identify innovative solutions to improve cross-functional processes
and operational efficiency
* Work with project leaders and architects to determine the right
technical solutions that meet the business requirements
* Serve as a technical writer on select projects.​ This may include
creating end user help and/​or user documentation or working with the IT
architecture team to document IT architectures, standards, and strategies
* Establish relationships with key business areas which may include
areas such as logistics and transportation organization, distribution,
production, merchandising, planning, and stores
* Lead small projects as assigned.
Skills Needed.
* Bachelor's degree in Technical Communications, MIS/​CIS,
Engineering, or related field
* 5+​ years experience in MIS/​IT with ideally at least 2 years in a
retail environment
* Must have at least 2 years experience on either the Functional/
Business and/​or Technical side to be able to quickly understand and assess
the business processes and requirements
* Strong BA skills - experience with process modeling, use case
development and detailed requirements documentation.​
* Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation,
leadership, and negotiation
* Analysis, breakdown, and communication of complex business and
technical processes, problems, and issues
* Effective, clear, and consistent technical writing
* Expertise in IT systems development lifecycle
* Ability to facilitate communications between and among highly
experienced business and IT associates
* Excellent analytical skills with a basic knowledge of IT
architecture
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills
* Excellent planning and organizational skills
* Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short term
perspectives of situations
* Ability to lead business and IT associates
* Project management skills, ability to lead small projects and
initiatives or requirements/​process/​testing aspects of larger projects
* Personal Attributes: Confident, Self-starter, Strong work ethic,
