Position: DB2 Database Administrator/Modeler
Location: Baltimore (Gwynn Oak), MD

Responsibilities:

·          Under the Disability Case Processing System program, Client  supports the full range of IT integration services supporting a multi-platform computing environment, including: information systems modernization initiatives, software engineering, project management, infrastructure services, data warehousing, database administration, research, planning, security, federal enterprise architecture initiatives, research and all levels of Internet, Intranet and Web portal initiatives and migrating legacy architecture to web-based platforms. Lockheed Martin has an immediate need for a highly motivated Data Modeler/Architect. The candidate must be able to pass a Federal Suitability Check for a position of public trust. The candidate will be responsible for database modeling/design for a SOA based JEE based software system with a user base of 30,000 - 50,000 users. client  has an immediate need for a highly motivated Database Administrator to provide mainframe DB2 performance review in various environments (development, validation, integration, and production). Additionally, the resource will be responsible for the migration of DB2 stored procedure definitions in the DB2 catalog as the DCPS application is migrated over the lifecycle. Direct interaction with the application development team will be required.

Requirements:

·          Minimum of 11 years of IT experience.
·          At least 6 years of solid technical experience with DB2 administration on the z/OS platform.
·          Mainframe DB2 DBA experience at least at Version 8.
·          Prior experience in mainframe application development.
·          A strong knowledge of how to read/tune SQL is required.

·          Experienced having functioned as the subject matter expert for Business Intelligence by preparing reports and presenting recommendations to upper management.
·          Specific experience having worked on data warehousing projects is required.

Position: Application Administrator
Location: Baltimore, MD

Job Summary:
An Application Administrator is responsible for all aspects of application administration.  This includes installing, deploying, and maintaining applications on the Unix Solaris 10 platform.  This individual needs to have a minimum of 5 years experience with system/application administration, preferably an enterprise wide application suite.  In addition, the individual needs to have knowledge of weblogic administration and have a good understanding of overall information technology concepts, including the system development life cycle.  Unix expertise and scripting is a must.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Works closely with other system administrators in performing functions such as application installs, clones, patching, and overall maintenance activities
  • Analyze, install, and maintain tools required for system implementation
  • Write shell scripts to automate system functions.  Unix shell scripting is a must and other scripting experience is a plus
  • Perform system configurations and weblogic administration
  • Work with Corporate infrastructure teams to facilitate maintenance and implement key technologies
  • Contribute to architecture design and implementation based on results of performance and operational readiness testing
Job Specifications:
Knowledge:
  • Minimum 5 years experience working on Solaris 10 operating systems
  • Experience with Weblogic and Apache administration
