POSITION SUMMARY:
The Subject Matter Expert is expected to work with the customer and contractor technical teams to design and standup a state-of-the-art environment to assess the technical capabilities of appliance-based components for enterprise-level backup and Disaster Recovery. The Subject Matter Expert must have senior experience in large-scale backup technologies (Disk-to-Disk, de-duplication, VTL management) and be capable of applying best practices guidance for developing strategy and implementation plans.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
At a minimum, the duties of the Data Management/Backup/Disaster Recovery Architect will include:
? Work with the customer and contractor technical teams and provide technical guidance
? Provide hands-on expertise in design/build configuration options
? Apply best practices and enterprise-level scalability assessment to the pilot configuration
? Document and Present material in the domain area to customer?s senior executive staff
? Disaster Recovery Knowledge
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Candidates must have a Bachelor?s Degree and at least 8 years of technical experience with an emphasis on Backup and Disaster Recovery technologies. Master?s degree or higher preferable.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must possess expertise in the following technical skills:
? Large scale Storage Systems, SANs, Storage appliance component capabilities and configuration/implementation requirements.
Additional desired technical skills include:
? Experience in developing technical design/configuration documentation, experience using VISIO
? Familiarity with Storage Management Systems such as NetApp, NetBackup
Candidates must hold strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to interact effectively with stakeholders.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT
Required/Preferred to have Current Public Trust Clearance (MBI) or MUST be able to pass upon hiring (Minimum Background Investigation).
