Position: GIS Application Developer (030112-CATROB-IOE-JOH)

Duration: 2 years

Description:

Develop, test and implement geoprocessing workflows and custom tools for ArcGIS Desktop 10.x.
Develop GIS applications using ArcGIS Server 10.x and the ArcGIS API for Silverlight or Javascript.
Migrate existing GIS applications (VB .NET / ArcGIS Server 9.3) to current environments (ArcGIS Server 10.x and ArcGIS API for Javascript or Silverlight)
Construct GIS services to be served through the Agency's Oracle Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) environment.
Organize and manage various types of spatial data in a multiuser ArcGIS Server/Oracle enterprise database.
Assist IT and GIS staff with the migration of the GIS environment from the ArcGIS 9.3 platform to ArcGIS 10.x.
Work with program area stakeholders to understand the business requirements for new/redesigned systems.
Collaborate with the IT and program area leads to translate program area requirements into technology requirements and recommend viable technical options.
Act as a Mentor in developing the skills and expertise of other IT and GIS developers on the team by performing code reviews and suggesting changes that will best fit the Program and Agency needs.
