Client Location: Purceville, VA
Contract duration: 6+ months
Description:
The position of Software Developer designs, builds, and tests software as a member of an in-house development team. Provides on-going support to the users of the software. Actively engages in planning for future software projects with the development team and members of other departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Design, develop, and test web applications and related user interfaces.
Work productively within a tightly-structured team environment.
Work productively in a fast-paced development environment.
Write PHP within a Linux-Apache-MySQL environment.
Write XML integrations.
Use Agile/Scrum development processes.
Gather software requirements from user groups.
Design test protocols to provide high levels of confidence in software's stability, usability, and security.
Write comprehensive documentation for software.
MINIMUM
3 years of software development experience
2 years PHP experience
Ability / commitment to learn other technologies as needed
Preferred:
1 year of integration experience
Bachelor's degree in Software Design or related field
