Job Title: Jr. SQL, PL/SQL Developer (Reference: 092914-SECDAR-IOM-BHAS)

Location: Suitland, MD

Duration: Permanent 

 

Position Description: 

Client is seeking an Entry Level SQL, PL/SQL Developer to be a key member of a team that assists in the design, development, debugging, implementation and enhancement of new and existing software programs. 

 

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement software. 

Research, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements. 

Consult with project teams and end users to identify application requirements. 

Perform feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management. 

Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools. 

Resolve problems with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. 

 

Required:

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an integrated team.

Highly analytical, possessing critical and creative thinking skills.

Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships with team and customers.

0 - 3 years of related experience.

0-2 years Oracle SQL and PL/SQL experience.

0-2 years Oracle Spatial experience.

Bachelors Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience. 

 

Desired:

0-2 years of Java experience.

Experience with HTML, JavaScript and CSS a plus.

Experience with Geospatial data and data formats a plus.

Experience with SAS programming a plus.
