The Technical Project Manager is responsible for managing the development
and implementation of technology-based products for CDI, and supporting the
maturity of our project management processes. The Technical Project Manager
is ultimately responsible for developing products on time, within budget,
and of high quality.
Relevant Experience (Yrs) : Overall 8+ years experience with
minimum of 3 years experience in project management
Necessary Skills : * Excellent project management "soft
skills" - Candidate must possess exemplary interpersonal skills; able to
successfully facilitate conversations and activities with technical and
non-technical audiences; comfortable speaking in front of audiences;
conflict-resolution skills; ability to motivate a project team; manage
expectations of stakeholders, etc...
* Excellent understanding of processes with the ability to grasp broad
concepts and a strong attention to detail. Ability to adapt process
requirements to fit the specific constraints of any given project.
* A minimum of 3 years experience in project management, with a strong
focus on implementation of web-based software development projects
* Excellent visual, written, and verbal communication skills
* Highly creative with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Proficiency with industry standard office communication and
organizational software

Desired Skills : * Experience developing traditional
components of a project management plan, including: Project charters, Work
Breakdown Structures, Network Diagrams; Project Budgets; Gantt Charts;
Communications, Risk & Change Management Plans;
* Moderate to Advanced expertise with Microsoft Project
* PMP certification

Roles & Responsibilities : * Acts as point person for the
ongoing implementation of software development projects, including ensuring
resources are appropriate, tracking schedules and budgets, and validating
deliverables/requirements match expectations of stakeholders
* Collaborates with department heads/leads to define overall technical
project scope and schedule to match the budget, areas of responsibilities,
as well as sub-project scopes and schedules
* Supports Marketing, Sales, and Customer Support by providing product
knowledge expertise in order for them to better support their customers
* Establishes the standards for communication between
internal/internal, internal/external, and external/external parties and
making sure all have the appropriate information. Creates processes for the
communication of escalation of problems
* Remains current on theories and practices of project management and
instructional technologies
Generic Managerial Skills : * Able to plan/track
tasks/activities
* Report progress/challenges to Manager
Education : Graduate in Engineering
