The position will gather requirements, develop test cases, execute test cases and be involved with defect tracking for the solution. 
The position will assist the project team identifying functional and technical challenges with the implementation as well as documenting the functional capabilities of the new solution.

This project is developing an intuitive, customer facing portal using ServiceNow service catalog and content management applications to provide an enhanced customer experience to maximize user acceptance as well as improve Department of State processes and functionality to deliver and monitor service fulfillment

 

Responsibilities of this role include building enhancements to the current objects built in the Serivce Catalog application, including scripts, business rules, catalog items and workflow. 
In addition to Service Catalog, the developer will also need to be experienced with the Incident application in order to implement ServiceNow's IT Helpdesk functionality. 


The developer will be well versed in integration technologies and ServiceNow integration with external systems in order to both maintain data synchronization in ServiceNow as well as push data to external systems when necessary. 
The developer will ensure that all requirements are met by maximizing out of the box functionality in ServiceNow, while still possessing the ability to quickly implement custom code to meet unique requirements.
The developer will also be able to work closely with the functional team to translate client requirements into ServiceNow terminology.

PROJECT: 
The position will support the execution of client's Portfolio Management functions within the PMO. This role slices, analyzes and summarizes findings with client's portfolio data. This data analysis ultimately feeds into what-if scenario portfolio planning, decisions and optimization.

This position will initially be fulfilling an immediate need focusing on our resource management data: capacity, allocations set within the current portfolio as well as demand in the pipeline. Ultimately determining when projects can start based off of capacity and remaining availability--when resources will be completing work and free to startup more work. Also providing input with recommendations on project sequencing given portfolio and resource data analysis findings.

The Portfolio Analyst is internal and external facing, supporting the integrity of our data captured in our portfolio tool through education and periodic audits.

The ideal candidate will not only have excellent communications skills, but also have experience working in a technology based environment. They must have knowledge of portfolio and resource management practices, and project delivery lifecycles / methodologies and be able to interpret financial and resource metrics. CAs Clarity PPM experience is strongly desired.

 

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: 
o Minimum 2 years business functional experience working in a PMO setting supporting a portfolio data analysis 
function or in a resource planning role, preferably using Clarity PPM:
