Job Title: Business Systems Analyst (081414-TARTHE-IO32-O-PAL)

Duration: : 6+ month contract

Description: The objective of the position is to ensure system functionality meets stakeholders' needs by gathering, analyzing, and presenting comprehensive business requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate requirements gathering meetings and work with system stakeholders to define and document user requirements.
- Arrange and manage user review sessions with various user groups.
- Draft and maintain system development lifecycle documents, including feature statements, system and user requirements, use cases, and design documents for multiple projects.
- Help the development team understand business processes by creating diagrams and supporting documentation as needed.
- Conduct reviews of project documents, including requirements, design and interface prototypes, user guides, and electronic training modules.
- Develop system definitions.
- Stay abreast of project management and development initiatives related to the probation and pretrial services case management system project and provide timely updates to business and technology stakeholders.
- Prepare memoranda, brief articles, content for the internal employee web page and other correspondence related to the case-management system.
- Deliver presentations and manage discussions related to system needs and updates.
- Field business/policy related questions from offices, which requires research and consultation with others internal and external.
- Review and make suggestions for updates of existing national applications.
- Participate in the modification request process and offer recommendations to the change control board.
- Consult with policy staff on system capabilities and limitations related to policy needs and wants.
- Assist in the implementation of new system modules, as needed.
- Implement a system to record and manage traceability of user and system requirements.
- Provide extensive detail in support development and support of Use Cases.
- Assist with the testing and change management procedures.
Requirements:
- At least eight years' progressive Information Technology (IT) experience, with at least six years' experience in business systems analysis. Work experience on at least one IT project must have occurred within the past three years.
- Experience as a business requirements analyst in an Agile software development environment.
o Understanding of SCRUM
o Experience creating user stories
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools, Visio.
- Demonstrated understanding of full software development lifecycle.
- Demonstrated experience providing extensive detail in support development and support of Use Cases.
- Demonstrated experience gathering and analyzing requirements and facilitating requirements meetings.
- Understanding of testing and change management procedures.

Desired Skills:
- Experience with object-oriented software development tools and methodologies, such as Rational Unified Process, and Use Cases.
