This project is developing an intuitive, customer facing portal using ServiceNow service catalog and content management applications to provide an enhanced customer experience to maximize user acceptance as well as improve Department of State processes and functionality to deliver and monitor service fulfillment.
Responsibilities of this role include building enhancements to the current objects built in the Serivce Catalog application, including scripts, business rules, catalog items and workflow.
In addition to Service Catalog, the developer will also need to be experienced with the Incident application in order to implement ServiceNow's IT Helpdesk functionality.
The developer will be well versed in integration technologies and ServiceNow integration with external systems in order to both maintain data synchronization in ServiceNow as well as push data to external systems when necessary.
The developer will ensure that all requirements are met by maximizing out of the box functionality in ServiceNow, while still possessing the ability to quickly implement custom code to meet unique requirements.
The developer will also be able to work closely with the functional team to translate client requirements into ServiceNow terminology.
Specific capabilities needed to effectively fill this role are:
Advanced experience with ServiceNow development and design methodologies
Advanced experience with integration methodologies & development
Moderate experience with scripting technologies including Jelly, JavaScript, AJAX
Advanced experience developing workflows and within the Service Catalog application
Advanced knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and its capabilities
Experienced working within an agile development timeline
