Position Overview
Data Analysis Professional will be involved with projects related to the development and implementation of software to collect data associated with a common industry dataset called the Uniform Closing Dataset, used to support the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau's Closing Disclosure. Take responsibility for assigned analysis projects through their entire lifecycle, including but not limited to concept, requirements, and application of iterative development and testing. The hired candidate will act as the primary interface between the business area and technology development team. The Data Analysis will identify business unit requirements, create project and process specifications, coordinate with project teams and ensure the projects are on schedule and within budget. The candidate will provide rules based solutions for validation of a range of data attributes based on dataset specifications. Work with project team to set and meet project tollgates, phases and sprints deadlines Leverage advanced technical skill sets to develop and maintain end user computing tools and reports designed to identify data quality anomalies across our systems. Track, manage and resolve data quality issues in accordance to corporate standards. Support partnering business areas with ad-hoc data reporting. This position will place individuals in the unique role of consolidation and delivery of department metrics to senior level management, and will assist in the tracking of the process improvements.
Responsibilities Include:
Assist with the development of plans to implement the UCD based on the Closing Disclosure Mapping to the MISMO v3.3 Reference Model
Design business rules requirements for the collection and validation of uniform closing dataSupport activities and initiatives for the continuation of ongoing efforts to standardize the UCD data is defined, collected and maintained
Identify data quality anomalies through the generation and analysis of customized and cyclical reporting processes as well as identifying trends and opportunities for improvement, providing recommendations to management and business partners.
Track, coordinate and communicate the resolution of identified data quality issues.Providing senior level support in the development of various metrics, analytics, using data mining, statistical, forecasting and modeling techniques
Execute and maintain complex data processes and controls for Single Family Operations Leverage data mining techniques to analyze and summarize data trends and patterns across multiple systems.
Perform hands-on quantitative, statistical, financial and operational analysis to produce and communicate meaningful and actionable patterns, trends, insights and recommendations Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts for production system releases
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5 to 7 years hands-on experience developing data extraction, data integration, data quality, and data management processes
Extensive experience in developing and documenting business requirements, system requirements, and process flows
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Access
Firm knowledge of software development lifecycle and Agile methodology
Ability to solve complex problems independently when developing solutions, as well as part of a team
Strong ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines and to participate on simultaneous projects
Ability to communicate and present complex concepts to management, and technical and business partners
Proficient in working with large scale data sets, fluent in scripting and rapid prototyping skills including expertise in the use of data tools such as SAS, Command Center, Rapid SQL, etc.
Experience analyzing business needs and requirements for proposed new business products or processes.
Experience maintaining information and documentation related to developing and modifying business processes and systems
Willingness to understanding and build subject matter expertise UCD, UMDP and loan data delivery functionality, capabilities and workflow
User Acceptance Testing experience

Graduate degree
GSE, related agency or primary mortgage market working experience preferred
Strong analytical skills with attention to details
Experience with SAS, and/or other data analytics, business intelligence and data management tools
Experience developing and documenting business area requirements
Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies
Strong understanding of data linkage and lineage concepts
Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as, excellent data gathering and analytical skills.
Ability to extract and work with large data sets, to analyze the data set to draw conclusions, and to make actionable recommendations to help address various business questions.
Support the Business Applications Analysts in the cross-divisional case log management of data integrity issues.Experience implementing best practices in data extract, transformation, and load (ETL)
Project management professional certification, or, prior experience in managing high priority projects.
Ability to work independently, as well as to work across teams and demonstrate initiative
Must be comfortable working independently and must be able to multi-task
